Fuck Yeah LGBTQ* Prom

Homecoming, not Prom but still. We  got “into trouble” for kissing at my homecoming, but we left and then had a night on the town. Schools are becoming ridiculous

This is me, Risi (I’m the one to the left) & my date to prom (the one on the right) . My prom date is one of my best friend. That was back in 2008. We were one of the few same-sex couples at prom.  We still remain very close. Although she isn’t gay, she was more than happy to be my prom date. I couldn’t be any happier : ) I will always & forever love her (as a best friend) no matter what. [est. Sept. 07 - exp. never]

My friend Georgia (she’s in the super sweet dress) and I went to our school’s prom together a few weeks ago.  She’s a straight ally, but I’m 100% queer and everyone at my school knows.  And yes, I am sporting too short pants and vegan shoes by Macbeth.

My date and I at my school’s prom last night. I’m a lesbian and he’s gay.

I go to a pretty progressive and accepting school, and I’m very proud to say that our Prom Queen this year was a gay boy who often dresses in drag. The school administration was completely supportive of this and raised no objections to his outfit - a short dress and heels. I know we’re probably one of the only schools in the South where that would be acceptable, especially in light of the recent news stories about Constance McMillen and Ceara Sturgis.
